A university design project on public housing solutions. This design was inspired by Roman villas and plays with public, private and shared spaces.
The ground and first floor plans of the public villa housing complex consisting of four households on the ground level and two households on the first floor. Below is a household distribution document I compiled to illustrate how the complex can comfortably house an extended family of up to six households.
The general concept of a town-like complex was gathered from our precedence study of the Moriyama House by Ryue Nishizawa. Dividing the space into private and public spaces to study how the entire space could work as a public housing area.
